Cllr Lynne Ayres has been serving as the Conservative representative for West Ward on Peterborough City Council since her election in a by-election on 29 October 2015. With a strong background in law and education, Lynne brings a wealth of experience to her role, consistently advocating for the residents of West Ward.

During her tenure, Lynne has held several key positions within the council:
- Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Education: Overseeing initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and safeguarding children across Peterborough.
