Councillor Gul Nawaz proudly represents Ravensthorpe Ward on Peterborough City Council.
A well-known and respected local figure, Gul has dedicated many years to serving the people of Peterborough. He previously served as a city councillor and had the honour of being Mayor of Peterborough between 2019 and 2021, championing communities across the city while supporting local charities and organisations.
Following the 2024 local elections, Gul remained actively involved in the community, continuing to work with residents and campaign on the issues that matter most. His commitment and determination were rewarded in 2026 when he was re-elected to the Council with a majority of 515, reflecting the strong support and trust he has earned from local people.
Gul is passionate about improving neighbourhoods, supporting families and local businesses, and ensuring residents have a strong voice at City Hall. He believes in being visible, approachable, and working hard to deliver practical results for the people he represents.
