Mayor Paul Bristow has raised serious safety concerns over the lack of a pedestrian crossing on the Manor Drive estate, home to one of Peterborough’s newest schools.
Despite campaigns across the city to retain lollipop crossing patrols, Manor Drive has no crossing, leaving children, young people, and parents at risk. Mayor Bristow has urged Peterborough City Council and the developer to work together to provide a safe solution before an accident occurs.
He said:
“This is not safe for children or parents. A proper crossing must be put in place as a matter of urgency.”
Residents are encouraged to support the call for a safe crossing to protect the community.
