It was a great evening out at the Peterborough Fair as Councillor Steve Allen and his good wife and former councillor Jackie Allen, joined the Mayor of Peterborough for the opening night.
The evening continued with the traditional sausage supper, hosted by the Mayor, which took place at Charters for the first time this year.
The change of venue brought a different atmosphere to the event, while still keeping the tradition of the annual supper alive.
Steve also had the opportunity to catch up with the fair operators and hear more about the long history of the fair and the role it continues to play in Peterborough.
With its long-standing traditions and strong community connections, the Peterborough Fair remains an important part of the city's calendar.
