Mayor Paul Bristow has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the city's youth, emphasising the importance of providing diverse opportunities for young people in Peterborough.
With many students recently receiving their exam results, the Mayor stressed that every pathway matters, whether it’s university, apprenticeships, college, or going straight into work.
He highlighted the success of ARU Peterborough, which is already producing its first graduates, as well as the Green Tech Centre at Peterborough College, preparing students for careers in clean energy and advanced technology. He also praised the Youth Trailblazer scheme, which helps those who may have struggled in traditional education to find the right path.
Mayor Bristow said:
“If you want to stay in Peterborough and make a life here, we are building the opportunities for you to succeed.”
