This morning’s Keep Britain Tidy Annual Village Litter Pick in Eye saw another fantastic turnout, with local residents coming together to make a positive impact on the village. Despite the rain, which soon stopped play, the event was a great success.
Cllr Steve Allen said: "Over the past nine years, these litter picks have played a crucial role in improving the cleanliness and appearance of the village, and it’s clear to see the difference made. Eye village streets have shown a marked improvement, thanks to the dedication of the local community.
"A special thank you to all the community litter pickers, many of whom combine the task with their dog walking routines. Your commitment to keeping Eye clean and welcoming is truly appreciated. Well done, Eye!"
