Councillor Alex Rafiq recently met with residents in the Marholm Road area of Walton to discuss local concerns, including anti-social behaviour (ASB) and areas that have been neglected.
The meeting was also attended by Peterborough City Council’s Safer Communities team, who are assisting with background checks on land and property ownership to ensure any necessary action can be taken.
Councillor Rafiq reported that the discussions have already led to positive results, with improvements planned for the area.
He said:
“It was great to meet local residents and hear their concerns directly. Working together with the community and the Safer Communities team, we are making sure that neglected areas are addressed and that Walton continues to be a safe and welcoming place to live.”
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns in their neighbourhoods so that councillors and the council can act swiftly to maintain safe, well-kept communities.
