Ravensthorpe councillor Sabeel Ahmed is continuing his campaign to make local streets safer, this time focusing on Hartwell Way, where residents have raised serious concerns about dangerous speeding.
At a recent meeting, residents described the road as “like a racetrack” and warned that without action, “someone will be killed.” With schools and families nearby, the need for urgent traffic calming measures is clear.
Cllr Ahmed said:
“Speeding has become the number one issue raised with me by residents. We must not wait for a tragedy before we act.”
This campaign builds on his track record of securing safety improvements, including speed cushions on Mayor’s Walk, a Vehicle Activated Sign on Thorpe Park Road, and a traffic island at Buckland Close.
Cllr Ahmed has pledged to keep working with residents and council officers until effective solutions are in place to protect the community.
