Stewart Jackson lobbies Minister over Peterborough DVLA closures

Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson attended a Public and Commercial Services Union briefing today and has written to the Mike Penning MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Transport to ask that they extend the public consultation on DVLA closures. By extending the public consultation there would be longer for people in Peterborough to respond in the hope of saving 26 jobs at the Lincoln Road office.

Stewart Jackson MP visits Peterborough apprenticeship centre during National Apprenticeship Week

To coincide with National Apprenticeship Week 2012 which runs this week, from 6-10th February 2012, RTT Group are pleased to announce that Stewart Jackson, MP for Peterborough, will be visiting the RTT Group offices and ‘enable’ Centre on Friday 10th February. Stewart will be looking at the work RTT Group are doing in the area to source and place apprentices within a large number of businesses, helping to grow and re-establish the local economy in these challenging times.

Stewart Jackson MP welcomes Government funding for more local homes

Stewart Jackson, MP for Peterborough, has welcomed Government funding to build more homes in Peterborough as part of an action plan to boost housebuilding. Through the New Homes Bonus, Peterborough City Council has received £2,303,400 this year to build much-needed homes in the local area.
