Ruta Dalton, our candidate for Gunthorpe Ward

Before I talk about the issues that I feel are most significant in our area, it’s important that you know a little about me.

I’m a qualified accountant (ACCA) and work for a large local firm in Lynchwood. I’m fortunate that over the first 10 years of my career I got to work in many different countries across Europe and with many different types of people. Those experiences taught me leadership skills but also the critical nature of teamwork.

I love living in the heart of Werrington with my husband Matthew. The areas of Gunthorpe and Werrington both have great community spirit and it’s a pleasure to make this area my home.

As well as my work for the residents of Gunthorpe, I’m also a local school governor and volunteer official at Peterborough Athletic Club. I also enjoy gardening, playing badminton and chess, spending time with friends and family and travelling.

There is so much to say about our ward - more than I can cover here but these are a few critical issues

The preservation of Cuckoo’s Hollow;

The Manor Drive development being properly completed;

Keeping our green spaces well-kept and tidy

Dealing with speeding.

It’s a great honour and privilege to be running for council as your local Conservative candidate. Please allow me to make a difference that helps everyone who calls this ward their home.

Yours sincerely

Ruta Dalton

Conservative Candidate for Gunthorpe Ward
