Stewart giving Niles Joseph Hogan from Walton his prize as winner of this year’s Christmas card competition.

Niles has won a private tour of the Palace of Westminster, a trip up Big Ben and lunch for himself and two adults on the Parliamentary Estate.

Stewart attends the Official Opening of the Jack Hunt Specialist Sports College


Stewart is pictured with city Mayor Cllr Marion Todd and Olympic Gold Medallist Darren Campbell at the official opening of the Jack Hunt Specialist Sports College.

Stewart commented:
"This new centre is a tremendous asset not only to the school but also the local community.

"I know the school was delighted to have secured such a world-class sportsman to open the facility and Darren certainly did not disappoint; giving a very inspiring speech''

Sir Bernard Ingham (Margaret Thatcher's former Press Secretary) also attended the ceremony.

Holly Steels (11) was all smiles recently when Stewart visited Werrington Primary to congratulate her on winning his annual essay competion.

Holly won a personal tour of the Palace of Westminster including lunch and a tour up Big Ben.

Stewart holds his first Supermarket Surgery 12 May 2007.

There was a steady flow of enquiries when Stewart held his first Supermarket Surgery at Morrisons on Lincoln Road.

Stewart commented:

“This is a great way to make myself available to the people. I believe it’s very important that MPs are as accessible as possible to the general public.”

Hundreds of balloons were cast into the air as the maginificant new sign at the £26 million new Voyager School was unveiled.

Stewart spent an interesting hour on the site of the new Voyager School - a specialist media and arts school -looking at the impressive facility with Headteacher Hugh Howe and developer Bouyges UK.

Stewart was honoured to be asked to the the keynote speaker at the recent Citizens Advice Bureau AGM at the parish centre at St Peter and All Souls Church in Fitzwilliam Street and praised the work of staff and volunteers.

Stewart spoke about, amongst other things, the big challenges ahead the service faces both locally and nationally to the 50 or more representatives present.
