05/02/10 - Jackson to be presented with a petition with a difference

Bretton Baptist Church, Copeland, Bretton - 10.45am on Sunday 7th February

This Sunday local MP Stewart Jackson will be presented with a petition with a difference – a toilet seat.

Bretton Baptist Church in Copeland, Bretton are involved in the TEAR Fund campaign to highlight the lack of sanitation and water resources that affect so many people around the world - a cause that has been particularly highlighted by the recent events in Haiti.

A paper copy of the petition has already been sent to Downing Street but the church thought of this additional, more quirky petition, to present to their MP.

You are invited to send a photographer/journalist to cover the event on Sunday.
