21/01/10 - Jackson meets with PCS lobby in Westminster over Land Registry closures

Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson met with the Public and Commercial Services Union in Westminster on Wednesday as they lobbied MPs over proposals to close five Land Registry offices and outsource work which will adversely affect the Peterborough office.

The matter was raised with the Ministry of Justice. Stewart is hoping for a more positive outcome and will be personally lobbying ministers to this end. Stewart has received the attached response from the Rt Hon Michael Wills, Minister of State which shows more hopeful signs as a firm decision will not be made until February.
